Joe And His Better Half Sneak Out Of Town

Tuesday, July 6th, 2010

Joe ended up being merely your person with average skills, nothing genuinely unique about him other than he was a firemen. This individual never genuinely thought of themselves as daring despite the fact that people often did. The challenge had been that ever since he rescued a child from the burning building one day and the community paper turned him into an instantaneous celeb full of photos and everything he had the title hung on him.

Joe could not go anywhere in town without being recognized. The same was being said for his wife as well since she was normally his partner at house fires. The downside was she could not even wear her pearl izumi shorts without people coming up to her and asking her tons of questions. Many of the questions were legitimate, but some of them were just stupid.

Joe decided that him with his fantastic wife would do something that they always dreamed of doing and that was to be able to use some of the items they had gotten over the years. The problem was it would require a vacation which would allow them to utilize the mongoose mountain bike the area bicycle shop offered both of them.

Since they had received that item they had never been able to use them before, but the time seemed right now. They were heading South into the warm retreats of the mountain air. He knew that the air would do him good and would really help calm their old fraying nerves, but the people of the town would be missing them the entire time that they were gone.

Considering that later on they would be lost these they decided to hide a little fact from them. That fact was they were going to move down into the mountains to live. The men and women of the township gasped at the thought of Joe and his wife leaving, but knew they had to accept the fact. These people recognized that it had been always the desire for Joe to leave, nevertheless they never thought he would leave the state.

Before Joe left however he stated, him and his better half would obtain one particular long lasting merchandise item coming from every single keep around. That was not necessarily going to cost Joe and his better half a whole lot of because lots of the shops had closed recently. However, his preferred retailer had been the cycle shop. He had discovered that they had just obtained an order of diamondback bikes and he needed to get these for him and his wife.

Joe decided that they would leave town in the middle of the night. Then they would not have to worry about people stopping them all the time. They knew that the townspeople would try to stop and talk them out of it, but tonight Joe knew that he would be leaving behind and old life and moving on to a new one that he would love just as much.

Cape Town, South Africa – The Ideal Family Holiday Destination

Tuesday, January 12th, 2010

Cape Town in South Africa has become one of the top 10 travel destinations on earth during the past couple of years. It comes as no surprise: with a list of ‘must-sees’ longer than that of any other city in Africa and Christmas weather to die for, it’s the ideal destination during the bitter winters of the Northern half of the world.

A large percentage of tourists of course visit the city because of its pristine beaches. When their family and friends in the other half of the globe are turning on the central heating, they are tanning on one of the numerous sandy beaches.

Cape Town is an ideal family destination. Even if you have a baby in the family that need not stop you from having a holiday filled with fun in the sun. Fly in, rent a car, get baby-friendly accommodation and start to have the time of your life. For the baby’s sake, just make sure the car is fitted with a graco car seat.

Just as an example of how sophisticated Cape Town guest houses are becoming: a guest house where we stayed recently even had a spa baby where our baby could be bathed in the (more natural) upright position. Of course not every guest house will have one, but it pays to inquire before the time.

Table Mountain is another major tourist attraction of the Mother City. This massive, vertical wall of rock overlooks the city like a sentinel – forever attempting to protect it against the worst of the infamous South-Eastern winds sometimes hammering the city during summer. If the wind is blowing on one side of the mountain, you can be sure to find a quiet, wind-free beach on the other side! The view from the top of the mountain is stunning. You can take the cable car, or follow one of the established hiking trails.

Then there’s the V&A Waterfront, where you can enjoy a world class meal while watching a living harbor at work. And there’s the Cape winelands, where many South African export wines are produced. Another top tourist destination is the nature reserve of Cape Point. Here a cog-wheel railway leads to a lookout point where you can see two ocean meet: the Atlantic Ocean and the Indian Ocean. A lovely restaurant, built into the mountainside, offers spectacular view of False Bay and the mountains of the Cape Peninsula.

It’s unlikely that you will have the opportunity to read a lot in Cape Town, but by all means pack your digital book reader. When everyone else in the family has fallen asleep, you can finish reading your favorite detective story while listening to the gentle sound of waves breaking on the rocks.
